Galvanized & Welded SteelThe 45# steel cylinder liner puller is impact, abrasion, and corrosion resistant. These premium materials' exceptional precision and durability will ensure continued service. |
High-End DesignsThe superior design of the upper bearing carrier puller includes a cylindrical shell for pushing and pulling. Most bearing carriers can be fitted with adjustable jaws, and the MT0013 drive shaft collar adapter can remove collars fast. |
Drive Shaft Collar AdapterEnables fast removal of Yamaha drive shaft collars by the puller. Make sure to replace the collar by applying some upward pressure to the drive shafts as you seat it in place to prevent the drive shaft from knocking when in gear. |

NOTE:Before disassembling the water pump, first remove the Lower Motor Case. Removing the bearing housing for a corroded input shaft. Be sure to remove the two Oil Seals and the Oil Seal Cover that are located on the drive shaft above the bearing housing itself before attempting to remove the bearing housing itself. |
Method 1Place the jaws of the puller on either side of the housing for the bearing. If the corrosion isn't too extreme, the bearing housing will break free if you keep the jaws firmly against the bearing housing and quickly draw the puller's handle up so it bangs against the top of the puller shaft. |
Method 2Position the puller over the bearing and attempt to remove it as in method 1 after heating the bearing housing with a Blowtorch (heat causes metal to expand, and this tiny expansion may be enough to aid you). |
Method 3Try rotating the housing with a Hammer while holding a Chisel against one of the bearing housing's bolt holes (this hammer and chisel method will damage the bearing housing, but if the corrosion is this bad, it will need to be replaced anyway). Use the puller tool as directed in procedure 1 and after that. |
